OI family, how's life... this week was crazy

So to start this week we played basketball with some new members, new people and less actives... which was really fun we played and of course I was on fire, I didn't miss and I was going crazy. Of course because we walk every were my legs are a lot stronger. I kind of dunked on the guy, but that's life. During the game someone passed the ball and I didn't see and the same time I got hit by a ball and a elbow and yeah broke a tooth. Wow did that hurt. This week we worked really hard and I mean hard, we were running from one end to another. This week I will be doing a three ward activity, because I am sick of my elders complaining that they don't have references. I am going to do an activity to help them al. We found some new families that we are teaching, which I hope will join the church. We had a few family nights which turned out amazing. I loved them. It's fun to see true happiness in the eyes of people. We also were invited to be part of a family party, it was birthday party. A tradition is that the person who is having the birthday gives out the first 4 pieces of the cake.. and the fist and the seconded are normally to family, mom or dad but the kid gave the first and the second to me and elder de jesus, like what, but it was sweet. I am loved!

Hey Mother and Family

So where to start. Last week I was able to go to the big zoo in Sao Paulo which was awesome. They have some pretty cool animals which was sweet. We went with are new friend Waldir who was baptized 3 weeks ago. He shows us around and we get to see and do a ton of things. of course this week was super long and we had a million things to do. I couldn't believe that we were able to get all the work done. The lord really does have a hand in the work. We had the chance to play some basketball on Tuesday which turned out super fun. I may not play really well in the U.S., but here in brazil I am like a god............ hahahaha. We also had pizza with some members which was amazing I really do love pizza. On Wednesday we found a new family of 6 people who loved what we had to say and were super excited to have us come back. On Saturday we had to help someone move. They were not ready, we went into the house put everything in bags and whatever things we could find.. We put it in a few cars and then took it all out. No one was prepared and it was a pain.... and there was like no one there... it really reminded me of the moves back home... When I move, everything will be ready and it will e super fast.... Sunday was yet just another good day, we were to get a lot of work done. Oh and just to gives a heads up, I will stay with my son for another 6 weeks.... so lets' get to work.

So this week was yet another week which was super hard and super fast but to top it off we had 5 baptisms this Sunday. So you can say that I am happy, there really is nothing better than entering the waters to baptism someone, really this is true happiness. This week was a blur, I was running from one end to the other doing interviews for the other elders and trying to take care of a few problems in the mission, and to make sure that my area is good and growing. I can't believe how much time has gone by. I have a bunch of stories that I would love to share but I will have to leave it for next time.... because my time goes by so fast, but this week was good,. To top it off this is the last week of the transfer and so will see where I will end up.

Take care mother, I love you.

Hey,

Well yesterday was amazing, I was able to see my family and talk with them, that was by far the high light of my week. There is nothing more important than family. To tell the truth, the week goes by so fast that I don't remember really anything. I will try to remember a little bit, so we are teaching a man called Waldil and he is amazing, he is 78 years old and has more energy then I do. He is working on his 5th college degree and it is working really hard. He should be baptized this week which would be amazing, we are also teaching Mirimin and Ana Paula who are sisters and are both loving the church. Mirimin should be baptized this week. Jose is 60 years old and he is awesome and will be a an amazing member. He also should be baptized the 17th. This week we have some new people that we are working with. They are amazing, and really are growing in the church. I think that the best part is when you see your friend or someone you like understand how much Jesus loves them. It gives them hope and it makes them want to do the right things, so that they can have a better life. They know what is important in this life and they know where they can find true happiness.

love you mom..
P.S.

This week I just want to share one short experience that I really liked. With all our members and menos activos we have been teaching the importance of testimonies which has been really fun. At the end we have them write there testimonies down, I have loved teaching this lesson with them. We have been using Alma 32 which is all about the seed and our faith, but we decided to switch it around, where is says seed we put the word testimonies.

26 Now, as I said concerning faith—that it was not a perfect knowledge even so it is with my words. Ye cannotknow of their surety at first, unto perfection, any morethan faith is a perfect knowledge.
27 But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise aparticle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire tobelieve, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe ina manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.
28 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, ifye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not castit out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of theLord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; andwhen you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to saywithin yourselves. It must needs be that this is a goodseed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlargemy soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.
I love verse 28, if we look at it we can see that our testimonies are good and are growing when understanding becomes enlightened. When we can feel it enlarging our soul, and it becomes delicious to us. But how do we take care of our testimonies?
37 And behold, as the tree beginneth to grow, ye will say:Let us nourish it with great care, that it may get root, thatit may grow up, and bring forth fruit unto us. And nowbehold, if ye nourish it with much care it will get root, andgrow up, and bring forth fruit.
We need to nourish it with great care, the only way to do that is by studying our scriptures and the words of the living prophets. We need to learn how to love the time we have to study, to delight on the words of Christ. If we do that it will grow and grow until we reach everlasting life, which is the grand goal. It will grow as we share it, and help others feel the love of their savior and come unto him. We just need to be brave and stand as true witnesses of Christ in this world that is drifting farther and farther away from eternal values.
41 But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, itshall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing upunto everlasting life.
So I want to invite you all to study this chapter in Alma 32, but don't just read it, study it word for word, take the time to ponder these words and then think how you can apply them in your own life.
I know that this gospel is the only thing that can bring us true happiness. Maybe right now the mission is really hard for me, but I know if I put my faith in my Heavenly father I will be able to accomplish anything that he wants. I love my savior, and I know he loves me. I love praying, I know that God is really listening, and can give us answers. I invite you all to grow your testimonies so that they can go from this little seed, and grow into a beautiful glorious tree.

Well yet another week of the mission has passed. To me it seems like the time in the mission is passing faster. I don't know what to say this week was yet another week of hard work, happiness, sadness and joy. We were able to teach 16 lessons this week in only 4 days. We had a conference for the mission and one of the seventy came and spoke with us. It was super cool! He helped us with a ton of things, he answered a lot of questions that I had, and he gave us some amazing blessings if we do what he says. This week was such a good week. we worked so hard, every sec of the day was full of something. We are working hard because we want to baptize everyone. I really don't know what to write. Every day we are working really hard to make sure everyone is ready. It looks like we will have 3 or 4 baptisms on the 17th of May. This week I was studying The Book of Mormon, but this week was different I really got a taste of the power the book has. It's amazing how one book has the answers of everything that we need. This book (The Book of Mormon) is the most correct book that this earth has to offer and we can tell just by reading it that there is something different. There is a truth about it, a peace when you read. Every day we need to read a little of The Book of Mormon because this world is getting hard to live in and we need all the help we can get. This week is my birthday and we are going to the temple tomorrow... and Sunday I can talk with my mom and family. This will be by far the best week of the mission. Have an amazing week, and read The Book of Mormon.

Dalton ran into a friend from our stake and a friend from scout camp at the Conference, it is always fun to see friends from home.

Well to start this week I went to the office and I picked up my son, Elder De Jesus. He is amazing, you don't have an idea. He is me, but from Brazil. He super cool, and we get along really well. This week we worked are butts off and I am really tired. We are trying to show the Lord that we doing his WILL and that we want to help people get baptized and become part of the church. We are working hard running from one end of our area to the other. This week was super cool because we had pizza 3 nights in a row. We were being blessed by the Lord in so many ways. We need to keep working and looking for people. My son is a really good speaker and super funny, he is always making my laugh. This week has been the best week of work for me. I have never worked so hard trying to do the right things and setting the example. It is so cool how the Lord knows what we need to do to become better. I am so grateful for everything that I have. So this week we worked a ton, and are having fun doing the work. I won't lie I am tired but there's a new fire in my bones that is keeping me going. Remember that we only have one life and there is no time to be sad or mad, there is only time to be happy.
( you cannot change the beginning, but you can change the end... so in this moment decided who you want to be )

Família

Hey, so I don't have a lot of time but I will send this off really fast. This week to start I was really sick, we are talking needing a bucket near me and going to the bathroom every 10 min, it was bad. The only thing that I was thinking was where is my mom, where is she so that she can take care of me? I was I was dying of pain. I have never felt so week. I lost like 10 or 15 pounds. I am really small right now, tall but thin. Thin like I am turning in to my dad every day hahaha. This week was crazy I was sick Tuesday we stayed in the house, but then I had to get up and take care of my district and my area. Wednesday even though I was dying I had to keep moving. We were running from one end of the work to the other, and we were able to have a couple of baptisms which were amazing. I also had to help with the shirts of the zone, and take care of all of that. Transfers came, and I will become dad on the mission which means that I will train, we will see what the Lord has planned for me, because I really don't know. I am so tired and my shoes are bad. They have some big holes, so it looks like I will just buy shoes here. Today was sweet, we went to Outback with a bunch of friends and wow... yeah I ate good today. It reminded me of home, and gave me hope that I can do 8 more months. this mission is killing me... but maybe just maybe I will come back as a real man of god.

Just to start, Mom I love you so much, love you, love you, love you,

So this week I have been running around like a chicken without a head. It's been super crazy and wild and yeah I don't know where to start. This week we taught a ton of lessons and were able to help a ton of people. Every day we were leaving our house at like 9 to go teach and help more people. It is wearing me out but it's good. This week we also had interviews with president and well they went good. He sat me down and was like "elder, your work is really good and your district is looking good. You really are a great leader, have you ever thought in training? I just laughed, me train that's too funny, but he was like two Americans are coming, and they need good trainers and he said that I am in the top of the list to train. I can't believe it. I don't know if it's true but it looks like I will train. I am going to have a son on the mission. So much has happened I just don't know where to start, this week we had some amazing experiences with The Book of Mormon. People are reading it, and feeling something different about it, there is a peace and love that comes from that book. I was thinking a lot about the church, and we are all here today with this happiness and joy and knowledge, because of a 14 year old boy that had a question, and asked his father in heaven with a pure heart. This all starts with a question and a prayer.... that's why I love this church it's so simple, and so real. God is our Father in Heaven, and he loves us and wants the best for us, and we only need to obey what he says and we are blessed.
